Vintage soldering iron stand Ungar Imperial 6800 1960's $17 Cash Only - SOLDERING IRON HOLDER CAGE - Stand, 1960's Vintage round cage type stand for securely holding iron. This old design is much better at protecting your fingers or other curious little hands from touching the hot end. Much safer than the simple little piece of stamped metal design that leaves the tip exposed when propped on the stand.. Anyone who's ever grabbed a hot soldering iron by the tip from being careless will appreciate using it. Its nice to have a enclosed cage so you will always grab it buy the handle/insulated end.. This came with a #6100 Ungar Imperial iron and it fits perfectly. Should work with all similar size models too.
