I am parting with some tools I used in my business when I was offering concrete moisture testing services. I am 62 and no longer wish to offer this service since I cut back on my work schedule. The most recent job I did in Durham earlier this year yielded $2250. This is a complete concrete moisture testing tool package. You can start out as a side income business and build it to full time if you want to just have a nice 2nd side income you work at your own schedule. Or if you are a retailer or installer, add this service to your business to save you from replacing a floor and increasing your sales since someone besides you is responsible to pay for the testing. It is fairly easy testing and you can charge upwards $200-$350 or more depending on how many tests are needed plus travel as both require a trip to prepare and set the test and a 2nd trip back to read the results. I am semi retired and stopped offering this service. YOUR client base can be builders, installers, retailers, homeowners, architects, engineers or anyone involved in building, remodeling or floor installs. To buy what I have here new (this is used) would cost more than $3000. You will never wear out the hammer drill or grinder if you maintain them and use them properly. Pictures will show the main tools and anything else I find (we just moved so still stuff in totes and boxes to go through), I will add. One 3000 sf job will more than pay for the entire package and if you are local, I know several retailers you can solicit business through since none of them have the training or equipment to do the testing.
